Streets Department

The Streets Department is responsible for preserving and maintaining the streets, sidewalks, and surface drainage areas throughout the City. Specifically, this department is responsible for patching street surfaces, street sweeping, controlling snow/ice accumulations on City streets, some tree trimming and the bi-annual spring and fall clean-up operations.

Winter is coming!

City code requires trees or other growth to be trimmed 14 feet above the street and 8 feet above the sidewalk (City Code 7-9-6). Low hanging branches reduce visibility for snow plow drivers, damage vehicles and equipment, and make it difficult to clear streets of snow and debris. Please take a few minute to measure your trees, and if needed, trim any branches that don't meet the clearance requirement. Thank you for helping us protect City assets
