Commercial Business Licenses
The application process on average takes about two weeks to process once you have turned in the paperwork and paid the appropriate fees.

Good Landlord Program
This program provides rental owners and managers training and resources to eliminate code violations on their properties and reduce criminal activities within their rentals. Participants receive a discount on their business license fees.
Home Businesses
Home businesses that are operated only occasionally and by individuals under 18 years of age, or a home business whose combined impact on the neighborhood does not materially exceed that of the home are not required to obtain a business license for more information, see the following link: Home Business License-Not Required |

Animals
Dogs & Cats:
Effective 5/30/2023: The City has adopted the Davis County Animal Care regulations. Please see the Davis County Website:https://www.daviscountyutah.gov/animalcare for regulations related to dogs and cats.
Domestic Farm Animals:
Domestic farm animals are permitted on single family and duplex lots in residential zones. Lots less than 7,000 sq ft. have 18 animal points that may be used in accordance with the chart below. Lots which are between 7,000 sf. ft. and 21,780 sq. ft. have 45 animal points. Lots over 21,780 sq. ft. have 45 points, plus one additional point for each 500 sq. ft. over 21,780.Information regarding points allowed for lots over 1/2 acre can be obtained by contacting the Community Development Department. The link to the complete ordinance for domestic farm animals can be found here. Effective October 2018, the keeping of domestic farm animals no longer requires a permit or inspection. |
