Records & Reports
Most of the records maintained by the Police Department are classified as private, protected or controlled, in accordance with the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) and as such are only released to individuals meeting certain criteria. At the time a request is received, careful consideration will be given to ensure all federal, state and local laws are followed.
To request police records or reports, you must fill out a GRAMA Request Form. The cost for most reports is $15 to $25. The cost for photos, audio and video vary and will need to be discussed with a Records Clerk for specific pricing. You must show a current photo ID in order to receive a copy of a police report. Requests may be made in person, mailed or faxed.
In Person:
The Police Department is located at 10 E Center St. on the first floor. We are open Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m, closed holidays. Report requests will be processed as quickly as possible. In most cases citizens will be able to obtain a copy of their report that day. If the report is unavailable, someone from the Records Department will contact you when the report is complete and ready for release.

Someone from the Records Department will contact you when the report is complete. Reports cannot be mailed to you. You must pick up the report in person and show the required photo ID. Please be sure to include a telephone number that you can be reached at when the report is ready to be picked up.
