JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
ADMINISTRATIVE PLANNING TECHNICIAN

The City of North Salt Lake is seeking qualified applicants for the position of
Administrative Planning Technician. This position is a new position that will provide
administrative and technical support to existing community development staff.
North Salt Lake City is nearing completion of a comprehensive set of amendments to
its General Plan. Those amendments contain goals to initiate and complete several
new studies and programs designed to improve and elevate the City’s land use
patterns, economic development progress, development processes, neighborhood
quality and enforcement of the land use ordinance. The Administrative Planning
Technician will play a key role in assisting the City with these exciting and ambitious
projects.

Qualified candidates should have a degree in urban planning or related field. Ideally,
candidates should have some previous knowledge and practical work experience in
planning; however, the City will also consider entry level applicants.

The compensation range for this position is $15 to $20 per hour depending upon
qualifications and experience. Electronic applications are required and should
