CENSUS 2020 Submissions

All residents of North Salt Lake:  Please remember to complete your online response to the 2020 Census.  The address for submission is www.my2020census.gov.  You will need to enter your 12-digit Census ID Number which is identified in the written notice you received by mail on or about March 12, 2020.  If you need help completing your questionnaire, you may call toll free at 1-844-330-2020.  En Espanol, llame gratis al 1-844-468-2020.

With the Covid-19 pandemic and the guidance from President Trump, Governor Herbert, and the  CDC / NIH to refrain from nonessential social contact, online submission is the easiest and safest way to provide your information.  It takes no more than 10 minutes and involves only nine questions, none of which inquire about your immigration status.

Attached is an interesting article which aired on CBS Sunday Morning about the history and purpose of the Census which is required every ten years as provided in the United States Constitution, Article I, Section 2.

Please help us all be counted because the census will be used to direct billions of dollars in federal funds to local communities like our North Salt Lake for schools, roads, and other public services, including transportation and emergency readiness needs.  It also determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and your political representation at all levels of government.

The once-in-a-decade enumeration of everyone in America has been launched – and pandemic or not, the work of the Census Bureau will go on. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-2020-census-how-our-nation-in-counting-on-us/
